IF YOU'RE AN ASTRO BOY FAN AND WOULD LIKE A SEQUEL TO THE NEW MOVIE, PLEASE READ ABOUT MY BIG ASTRO BOY PROJECT TO WRITE A SEQUEL FOR THE MOVIE!!! HERE IS THE PROJECT:

Okay, I'm sure you're wondering what the contest is about right? Of course you are! It's my "Design an Elemental God" contest! The name is fairly self-explanatory. You just have to design an elemental god or goddess and draw a bio for them, and their chosen human (Seer), but there are rules:

1. God must be an animal (doesn't matter what kind of animal; I would really like it to be a fantasy animal, but I'll accept real animals as well.)
2. God can only govern one element (i.e. Say you create something you consider a sun god; that means that it is ONLY a sun god, not a light god, fire god, heat god, day god, or anything else; just sun god.)
3. Every god will have certain powers shared by all gods:
A. Is capable of human speech via telepathy (speaking through mind; when in Hidden Form, telepathy is only recieved by Seers and other Gods).
B. Takes three forms: A Hidden Form (Form resembling real animal. This simply means that the character looks very plain and simple and does not have any special powers. Even fantasy animals such as dragons will still resemble a dragon in their Hidden Form!), a Normal Form (Usual state), and a Divine Form (Form taken during battle, or other such situations; allows god to use full extent of power; can only be seen by chosen humans)
C. In Normal Form and Divine Form the god has a pair of transparent, glowing wings (These wings can also only be seen by chosen people; please take note that if you choose an animal that already has wings {i.e. a bird, dragon, Pegasus, griffin, etc.} your God will not only have a physical pair of wings, but also the transparent pair only seen by Seers.)
4. All of the God's forms must be the same animal! The only way your God can transform into anything else is if they have transformation abilities!
5. God may be personified (i.e. Can wear clothes, wield weapons, etc. BUT GODS CANNOT BE BIPEDAL, which means to walk on two legs like a person)
6. God will choose a human that will become one of the select few called Seers.
7. EVERYTHING, INCLUDING ALL FORMS OF THE GOD AND THEIR SEER, MUST LOOK LIKE THEY BELONG IN AN ANCIENT FANTASY WORLD!!! NO MODERN CLOTHING, MODERNIZED HISTORIES, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT!!! I'M SORRY IF THIS RUINS YOUR VISION OF THE CHARACTER, BUT IT IS A REQUIREMENT!!!
8. Entry must consist of bio of both god and human. If the picture is not a bio, or if either the god or Seer does not have a bio, the entry will not be accepted.
8. In the bios, there are several elements that must be given in the bio:
A. Name
B. Gender
C. Race/Species
D. Age
E. Height
F. Weight
G. Colors (Please put these in color circles or something like that somewhere on the image so that it will be easier to pick out the right colors to use when someone decideds to draw one of your characters)
H. Details of All Markings, Clothes, and Props
I. Details on All Forms (God Only)
J. Element (God Only)
K. Specific Powers (God Only)
L. Chosen By (Seer Only; Means Which God Has Chosen This Human as a Seer)
M. (Optional) A short summary of the character's personality and/or past)

Okay, well, I don't think that seems like too many rules to follow. Here are the elements to choose from and how many entrants are in each element. Please try and choose one that has entrants required for judging! You can choose others, but there are several that still require entrants!

Overall 1st place will win a picture of their characters with a detailed background and all that stuff, along with a big picture of anything else of their choice (as long as i can draw it XD).
Overall 2nd place will win a picture of their characters with a background.
Overall 3rd place will get a picture of their characters without a background.
Winners for each element will get a cute chibi of their charcters, and each of the characters will also get to be in this new idea I came up with. I'm not exactly sure what it's about, but if the winners keep pestering me about it, I will eventually finish it... probably.

If you do decide to enter, the deadline will be pretty far away to give you all time to come up with your ideas and start drawing. When you tell me you plan to enter, please give me your element of choice. I will post your icon and element up here, and when I get your entry, I will post a link to it here as well.

BTW I think I'll enter my own contest, BUT do not think that just because this is my contest that I will automatically pick myself to win. I have seen so many other people who I would definitely choose over myself to win in a contest. But I am still a contestant, so don't think I would never choose myself to win either.

FINALLY UP!!!

So, I decided to add a section on my two Astro Boy projects that I'm starting. The first, and currently higher-prioritized of the two, is an idea for a sequel to the new Astro Boy movie. I thought that it was really awesome and quite deserving of a sequel. Once I figure everything out and draw all the concepts, I will write it out in detail for everyone to read.

Okay, so basically, Astro is lonely. He's lonely because he feels like he's the only one of his kind, in a way. He's human in every way except that he's a robot, to put it simply. So as his birthday approaches, Dr. Tenma and Dr. Elefun decide to build Astro a little sister, Uran, as his birthday gift. On his birthday, Uran is revealed to Astro (I tried to keep it close to the original stuff as much as I possibly could, and Uran was originally given to Astro as a birthday gift as well. He technically had a mom and dad too, but Astro doesn't need parents, since Dr. Tenma is his dad in two ways, being both Toby's biological dad, and Astro's creator). In Uran's creation process though, Dr. Tenma and Dr. Elefun had managed to get ahold of another blue core, but were left with another red core as well. They thought they had managed to hide the red core successfully, but they were very wrong.

The villain, who currently remains unnamed, knew of the red core's existence, and wanted it, as it was pivotal to his control over the world. The villain had been trying to create the ultimate army for years by testing on humans to try and create powerful mutants, but currently all of his experiments have died except one: a fifteen-year-old boy named Drace. Drace was created with super speed, and without the villain realzing it, precognition (meaning that he can see into the future. In Drace's case, he can't control it, and it comes randomly and is only a few seconds into the future, but he can still see it and use it to his advantage).

The villain also has noticed Astro's power and potential, and wishes to include him, or at least his powers, in his army. When Uran comes along, he finally realizes his chance to get Astro. The villain decides to use Drace, whom he "controls" by threatening to kill him if he disobeys his orders (he has a high-volt shocking device implanted inside Drace's heart, which he can activate at any time), to trick Uran into getting the red core from its hiding place and bringing it back to him.

Uran manages to get the core by communing with a rat she names "Sqeaky", and Drace brings her back to the villain's HQ along with the core, barely escaping Astro's detection. The villain manages to take out Uran's blue core and replace it with the red core, turning her into what I like to call "Dark Uran", which is an evil and slightly more powerful version of normal Uran. Drace tries to escape the HQ while the villain is distacted, but fails, getting a slight punishing shock that knocks him out.

Astro, Cora, and the others are out looking for Uran when the villain attacks the city with a huge army of soldier-bots and Dark Uran. Astro tries to stop Uran, but cannot even touch her without risk of being deactivated from the blue and red cores reacting. Once the villain manages to capture Cora and her crew, he threatens to have Uran kill all of them unless Astro complies to the villain's demands and comes back to the HQ with him. Astro agrees, and all of them are taken back to the HQ.

Everyone except Astro is thrown into a cell with Drace, whom Cora, Widget, Sludge, Zane, and Trashcan recognize as a boy who used to live with Hammegg. He is forced to explain what he's doing in the cell and why he disappeared a few years ago. They are appalled to learn that Drace is the one who tricked Uran and brought her here.

Meanwhile, Astro is placed in restraining binds and placed on a table. He watches as the villain lays Uran out on another table and removes her red core, deactivating her. He sets the red core on a stand and in turn removes Astro's blue core. He replaces the red core in Astro, turning him into "Dark Astro", and places an extremely strong chip in his brain that allows the villain to control him with ease, and a protective barrier-producing chip that allows Astro to interact with a blue core and not worry about being shut down.

Okay, so that's the story so far. I haven't figured it out any further, so please tell me if you like the story so far and/or wish to offer suggestions! Watch out for updates on the story' progress!

Here's the second of two big project that I've decided to do: a BIG Astro Boy fan manga! It's not anything like a series of volumes or anything like that. It's just one manga, but with a few chapters and many pages. Really, I think that the only people who would actually like it are people who have seen the new Astro Boy movie and like Cora, since... It's an AstroxCora manga! X3

Even though it was originally intended as a serious manga, it quickly turned into more of a romantic comedy. X3 Mainly just because I felt like trying these types of things in a project, there are several references and cameos, none of them being Astro Boy-related. :3 (Example: in one or two pages, you will see Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot; look hard! Whenever the comic gets posted, I want you all to tell me when you see one of the refs or cameos.) Of course, there will be some regular comedy (BOOTY PINCH!!! XD XD XD), some romance, and some monster-fighting action as well, so it's actually a bit of a mish-mash of sorts. I would give some more hints about the plot, but... I'm still figuring it out a little for myself! X3

Warning! It may take me a while to get it posted up, since I'm going the whole nine yards with it: color, shading, and everything! I'm getting kind of excited, really! X3

So far, I have only finished sketching the first page, and am working on sketching the cover and second page. Please watch for updates on the comic's status and give me some feedback on it!

May I suggest a song? If you are wanting a new song to listen to, I would like to suggest Astrosexy by m-flo Loves CHEMISTRY. Even if you don't like Astro Boy (which the song doesn't sound like it has anything to do with), I think you will DEFINITELY love this song! It's a Japanese rap song, which has a good mixture of rap and singing, and the music is just LOVE! It's in Japanese with a little bit of English mixed in, but overall, it is my most favorite song! You should give it a listen!

I'm pretty sure that many of you would feel the same way about many of these things as I do.)

TRADES-OPEN

I am currently OPEN to do trades, but there are rules:

1. In my half of a trade, I will do a lot of things, but I WILL NOT DO:
A. Pics with extrememly violent or otherwise explicit or controversial content.
B. Buildings, vehicles, and other things that require lots of straight lines. I can't do those kinds of things, so sorry.
C. Pics of other people's characters. I will do a pic of one of my characters, one of yours, a character from a TV show or something along those lines, but NOT SOMEONE ELSE ON DA'S ORIGINAL CHARACTERS. They belong to them, and I don't have any right to do pics of their characters unless it is for them.
2. When doing a trade, I will accept a trade from someone who does not have extreme art skills, but that does not mean that I will accept you giving me a picture of a stick person. I will try my best on my half of the trade, so I expect you to try your best as well.
3. I usually will not ask for something extremely complicated and time-consuming of you, so please do not ask me for something of that sort. I have other things to do, so please do not make me spend all of my time on one pic.
4. The other rules have probably made this pretty clear, but I would like to have both pics about equal in certain aspects. This means that:
A. Both pics would have about an equal amount of time spent on them, or at least look like it. If I give you a pic that looks like a lot of time has been spent on it, please do the same.
B. Both pics will have about an equal amount of difficulty. If I ask you for a simple wolf, do not ask me for something like an armada of soldiers charging on a battlefield.
C. Both pics will have an equal amount of effort put into them. If I give you a full pic with a character and a background, please do the same for me.

COLLABORATIONS-Open

I am currently OPEN to do collaborations, but again, I have rules:

1. I will only accept a collaboration if I believe that your artistic talent is at least close to mine. That means that you have to be able to all of the following, at least at around the level I do:
A. Draw in proportion and detail.
B. Be able to shade efficiently.
C. Be able to do backgrounds.
2. If you ask me for a collaboration, I will choose the subject. If I ask you, you will get to choose the subject.
3. If you ask me, I will get to do the lineart and you get to color, and vice versa.
4. If you get to choose the subject and/or do the lineart, I will REFUSE to continue the collaboration if the pic contains explicit or controversial content.
5. If you get to color the pic, I will expect you to do your best and pick colors that do not clash, and also shade the picture efficiently.
